The Hut

is a rustic cosy-up shepherd's hut designed for simple living. (Due for completion and available from April 2021). Accommodating either 1 or 2 people in a fixed double bed, the open-plan sleeping / living area and integrated ensuite shower room provides all you need for a comfortably quirky stay.

This rather unique, larger than usual hut in fact began life as a simple hay trailer. Whilst studying engineering at university, our son Ben carefully turned it from a basic piece of farm equipment into a lovely shepherd's hut!

A stay in this kind of accommodation can be more of an adventure and we think you will enjoy the opportunity to hunker down with some simple living and a few comfortably cosy special twists... just as a shepherd might!

On arrival, a welcome hamper of local produce and information will await you. All you need do is slip off your shoes, boil the kettle, sit back in the comfortable chair with some cosy cushions and blanket and allow the tensions of travel to fall away.

Perhaps then browse a few inspiring books and resources designed to help you rest, reflect and meditate as you enjoy the wide open views of the distant mountain landscape, and breath in the green calm of the beautiful rural setting.

Later, you might take a stroll in our 10-acres of fields, new orchard, and garden. Perhaps stopping to say hello to our four friendly Pygmy goats - Bubbles, Pringle, Skippy and Cow.

During your stay, you may like to venture further and explore the surrounding ancient rural landscape. Plenty of walks begin from the farm gate, including the well known 150 mile Herefordshire Trail , and the newly launched pilgrimage walk, St Thomas Way is just a short distance along the lane.

Stay at The Hut from £80 per night (minimum 2 night stay) including continental breakfast hamper - dates available from April 2021.
